Adult Children of Alcoholics is a twelve step, twelve tradition program of women and men who grew up in alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes. We meet with each other in a mutually respectful, safe environment and acknowledge our common experience. We discover how childhood affected us in the past and influences us in the present. ("The Problem"). The two main elements of Bharatha Natyam consist of rhythmic patterns of the feet, and expressive gestures of the hands. Through such expressive movement, a very beautiful and entertaining story evolves. Classes in Bharatha Natyam will improve your physical strength, flexibility, and grace. Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. This yoga benefits overall health and vitality and is said to be particularly beneficial for the Endocrine (Lymph) and Neurological systems. A typical class begins with a tune in, warm-ups or Pranayam (breath work), followed with Kriya (exercises and postures combined with breath and meditation), and ending with relaxation and meditation. It develops deep self-awareness on all levels and gives one tools for coping in these very stressful times. It is a complete practice including physical exercises and posture, Pranayam, and meditation to enrich the mind, body, and spirit. Explore both the leading causes of back pain, and how to attain developed, defined abdominal muscles, or a “six pack”, with less time, and more smarts! From this picture, you can see the relationship your abdominal muscles have to your back muscles.
At this 4 part seminar, we will discuss safe abdominal techniques in order to promote good posture, and strengthen your all-important core muscles.
Chad will also be discussing the role food plays in optimal health, how to reduce digestive stress while improving nutrient and vitamin absorption, how your sleeping habits affect body weight, the role stress plays in body fat storage, and how much cardio you really need to reach your goals.
At the end of each session, you will have an opportunity to ask questions and clarify all the new information covered in your class.
This monthly 4 part series will be held on the 2nd Sunday of the month, beginning in October with a two-hour session. November and December will be a brief one-hour session, followed by another two-hour class in January. This class requires at least 5 participants.Instructor: Chad Broshears

The Sunday Simcha runs the gamut in Jewish entertainment and information: music, local announcements, weekly Dvar Torah, interviews, and the occasional political rant. The audience has grown over the years and includes many non-Jews as well. The music is an eclectic mix, including Klezmer, Chassidic, Israeli, Yiddish, Ladino, Mizrachi, and contemporary. The Sunday Simcha is heard every Sunday in the Tampa Bay area and beyond on WMNF - 88.5 FM from 12-2 PM.The show is hosted by Kevin Frye and Marc Rosenwasser.

This ancient art is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle intermediate level physical exercise. In this chair based class you will be doing a variety of movements and practices which enhance your internal Chi.Tai Chi is one of the world’s most widely recognized methods of physical therapy and therapeutic intervention. It has been used in Chinese hospitals and taught in universities for decades. The positive psychosomatic effects of this "moving meditation" have been thoroughly researched and validated throughout the world. The measurable benefits include, but are not limited to:
· Managing stress and improving balance
· Easing heart conditions and the symptoms of Arthritis
· Slowing the process of Osteoporosis
· Fighting cancer and the side effects of Chemotherapy, as well as blood disorders

West Coast Swing (WCS) is a style of Swing dance derived from the popular Lindy Hop. This partnered dance style will get you up on your feet and out on the dance floor in no time. Once the basics are learned, both partners are able to improvise while dancing together. But for the purposes of this class, no partner is needed! WCS may be danced to almost any music in 4/4 time such as Soul, Funk, Rock and Roll, Pop, Hip-Hop, and Disco. Group dance classes are taught in a four-week cycle. Each week, students will review the previous week's dance lesson and learn new material. New series starts the 1st Monday of every month. -
